Efficient Cracking of Soybeans for Dehulling
Before extracting soybean oil, the beans are often dehulled to improve process quality and reduce the fiber content in the final product. This requires controlled cracking of the beans, in which the hull is loosened without unnecessarily destroying the kernels.
The MULTICRACKER® produces precisely this defined kernel opening. In the subsequent process, the loosened hulls can be separated from the bean kernel simply, reliably, and efficiently by air classification. This creates an optimal starting point for further processing and oil extraction.
Multiple Deployment Within a Production Line
A particular advantage of MULTICRACKER® technology is that the same machine or the same grinding principle can be deployed at multiple points in a production line.
After oil extraction, soybean extraction meal is produced – a high-quality protein carrier used predominantly in animal nutrition. Here, too, the MULTICRACKER® is deployed. Homogenization of the extraction meal produces a uniform end product that is ideally suited for further processing and use in feed production.
